BANGKOK, May 18 (TNA) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will hold the 17th singing contest of songs composed by His Majesty late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The competition in its 17th year is open to applicants in three levels – primary, secondary and university students with the total prizes over 240,000 baht, including His Majesty King Maha Vajiraongkorn’s trophy.
The royal musical compositions have both values in rhythm and lyrics. The songs feature the beauty of Thai language and demonstrate the late monarch’s talent in music.
Interested students can submit the demos at the City Hall2 in Din Daeng’s Music Division, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism between May19 – June 18.
The semi-finalists will be announced on June 21 and the final contest will be held on Aug 4 at Sala Chalermkrung. (TNA)
