BANGKOK, April 17 (TNA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the boy, 14, who earlier went missing was found dead and an autopsy had yet to reveal the cause of the loss. The Thai embassy in Tokyo is ready to give assistance to the family.
Busadee Santipitaks, spokesperson of the ministry, gave the update related to a recent post by the Thai embassy in Tokyo on the disappearance of Tien Sukanonsawat, 14, from his hotel in Ginza district of Tokyo at the night of April 15.
She said that Japanese police informed the Thai embassy that the boy was found dead in Tokyo at 1.19am on April 17 local time. Officials of the embassy were with the boy’s family and prepared to give further assistance.
Miss Busadee said that the cause of the death remained unknown pending an autopsy.
The mother of Tien wrote in the Yuwajitra Watchara-arpa Facebook account that she was grateful for all concern and moral support and that Tien died of an unexpected accident. She also wrote that the family would like to have a private moment and would not answer any question or receive any contact at present. (TNA)
