BANGKOK, April 12 (TNA) – The CentralWorld shopping complex in Pathumwan district reopened as staff were cleaning it and trying to get rid of a smoke smell.
Shop operators and employees as well as visitors waited for the reopening before its time at 10am. The place was closed yesterday due to the impacts of the fire that killed two people and injured others at its back office building on Wednesday’s evening.
There was not a trace of damage inside the shopping complex. Its staff used air purifiers to eliminate the smell of smoke there.
PR staff of the shopping complex said it was completely reopened but operators of some shops would open their places tomorrow in time to support the Thailand Songkran Festival that the shopping complex usually organized.
Twenty people were injured in the blaze. Seven of them remained at hospitals comprising three each at Police General Hospital and Phyathai Hospital and the other at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. (TNA)
