BANGKOK, March 26 (TNA) – Thailand’s border trade with
neighbouring countries remains on course for growth after rising 0.92% in the
first two months 2019.
Foreign Trade Department Director-General Adul Chotinisakorn
revealed Tuesday the border totaled about Bt219 billion in January and
February.
Malaysia remained the largest trade partner with a total
volume of Bt86 billion, he said.
The Department assessed that the border trade had enjoyed
growing trend thanks to trade facilitation measures, marketing campaigns and
special economic development zones, Adul said.
He said the border trade this year was on track to reach the
15 percent growth target with the value exceeding Bt1.6 trillion. (TNA)
