BANGKOK, March 7 (TNA) – The Constitutional Court on Thursday ruled to disband Thai Raksa Chart Party (TRC)for nominating Princess Ubolratana as its prime ministerial candidate in the March 24 election.
The Charter Court also banned the TRC party’s executive members from politics for 10 years.
The court ruling came after the Election Commission (EC) asked the court to decide on the party dissolution over the nomination of Princess Ubolratana, describing the party’s act as hostile to the constitutional monarchy.
The EC disqualified the princess’s candidacy after HM the King issued the royal command that the nomination of the princess was inappropriate. (TNA)
