BANGKOK, Dec 6 (TNA) — Dr Prasert Prasarttong-Osoth is ranked the richest holder of Thai stocks with shares in Bangkok Hospital, Nonthavej Hospital and Bangkok Airways worth 77.13 billion baht.
The Money and Banking media organization and the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy of Chulalongkorn University have completed the rankings of Thailand’s rich shareholders this year and found that Dr Prasert, founder and owner of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services PCL, had been the richest Thai stock holders for six years. His shareholding valued 77,129.21 million baht, 21.41% higher from last year.
At the second place is Sarath Ratanavadi, director and chief executive officer of Gulf Energy Development PCL, who is included in the ranking for the first time after listing the company on Dec 6 last year. He holds a 35.44% stake worth 57,645 million baht in the company.
Still ranked third is Sompote Ahunai, chief executive officer of Energy Absolute PCL with stocks worth 42,209.41 million baht, 26.87% richer.
Prasarttong-Osoth is the richest shareholding family for the fourth consecutive year with shares worth more than 100 billion baht for the first time. (TNA)
