BANGKOK, March 13 (TNA) – The Excise Department and the Government Savings Bank (GSB) will distribute the first lot of 500,000 bottles of alcohol-based hand sanitising gel to the public at the GSB branches, starting on March 27.
Patchara Anuntasilpa, director-general of the Excise Department said one million bottle of hand sanitisers, 25 ml. each will be given away to public members at 1,060 GSB branches throughout the country on March 27 and April 10. Each person will get only one bottle.
The Liquor Distillery Organisation is gearing up producing the alcohol products to be sent to GSB branches on March 24.
Meanwhile, the Excise Department will distribute 300,000 litres of 70% ethyl alcohol or ethanol at its offices across the country.
About 100 litres will be handed out per day, starting on March 27.
People can bring their own containers to receive ethanol, limited to one litre per person.
Hand sanitisers are in high demand in the light of the Covid-19 outbreak. (TNA)
