BANGKOK, Feb 28 (TNA) – Medicines for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been delivered from China and are enough for patients in Thailand, Deputy Prime Minister/Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said.
He said that Thailand ordered the medications and the Chinese government donated some parts of them.
“The medications are enough to treat COVID-19 patients on the condition that their number must not increase. I ask everyone to cooperate and help control the disease,” Mr Anutin said.
He commented that governmental organizations already banned their staff from visiting risk countries and the measure should boost disease control efficiency.
Mr Anutin also said that the declaration that COVID-19 was a new dangerous communicable disease did not mean that it could not be handled. He expected the Royal Gazette to publish the declaration within a few days. It would not take a retroactive effect but the Public Health Ministry already implemented measures related to the declaration, he said. (TNA)
