BANGKOK, Feb 26 (TNA) – B.Care Medical Center issued
a statement on the diagnosis of a Covid-19 patient, who did not reveal his
travel history to a risk country for coronavirus infection when he was admitted
for pneumonia treatment on Feb 23.
Asked about his travel history, he denied twice before informing the doctors about his
return from a trip to Japan on Feb 20.
After the doctors learned that, the patient was tested
for the Covid-19 and moved to a negative pressure isolation room immediately. The
information was reported to the concerned authority.
The man tested positive to the virus and was transferred
to a state hospital for the infectious disease on Feb 24.
All medical staff, who had contact with the patients
were tested negative for the virus but are now in self-isolation at home. The facilities
were disinfected and suspended from use.
Meanwhile, Thai AirAsiaX has informed passengers,
travelling on the same Sapporo-Bangkok flight of the patient to monitor their health. Flight crews are
suspended from work for 14 days for monitoring. (TNA)
