BANGKOK, Nov 7 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is satisfied with the role of Thailand in hosting the 35th ASEAN Summit and related summits.
Government spokeswoman Narumon Pinyosinwat said Prayut discussed about the organization of the ASEAN Summit in the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
General Prayut handed a gavel, the symbol of the bloc’s leadership, to Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in the closing ceremony of the Summit on Monday.
He mentioned that leaders of participating countries and organizations had praised Thailand for the successful meetings, Ms Narumon said.
The prime minister urged for implementations of policies culminated in the meetings such as waste management, said Ms Narumon. (TNA)
