BANGKOK, Oct 28 (TNA) – China’s rise to world’s
superpower is a result of six key factors including the emphasis on political
stability, says Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Jurin
Laksanawisit.
Jurin gave a keynote speech at seminar on the 70th
anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China co-organized by
MCOT on Monday.
The Deputy Prime Minister said China’s per capita disposable
income seven decades ago was 49.7 yuan, now the number soared to 28,200 yuan.
He highly praised China’s phenomenal development and
numerous achievements that elevated the country as the world’s second largest
economy.
Six factors contributed to China’s success; the emphasis of
political stability, grass-root economic promotion, bottom-to-top reforms,
infrastructure development, public-private sectors collaboration and foreign
trade promotion policy.
Lyu Jian, ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand,
said in his speech that during the past two years in the post he felt like
home.
The ambassador said he was not concerned of the ongoing
trade war with the US as Chinese and US presidents would hold talks during the
APEC Summit in Chile. (TNA)
