BANGKOK, Oct 9 (TNA) – Prime Minister and Defence
Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Wednesday gave his policy instructions to the
Royal Thai Army.
Gen Prayut, who is a former army chief, made an inspection
visit to the Royal Thai Army’s headquarters in Bangkok where he was greeted by
military commanders and police chief.
The retired general inspected guard of honor before being
briefed on the Royal Thai Army’s missions and latest development.
Army officers reported on the ongoing programs including
personnel training, military research and military hardware improvements.
The Royal Thai Army also displayed US-made Stryker armored
infantry carriers which were officially delivered last month.
Gen Prayut then instructed the armed forces in his capacity
as the defence minister. (TNA)
