BANGKOK, Sept 20 (TNA) — Prime Minister and Defence Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will visit the United States for eight days, on Sept 21-27, to attend the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly and related meetings in New York.
Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai and Natural Resources and Environment Minister Varawut Silpa-archa will accompany the prime minister.
There, Gen Prayut will attend sessions on universal health coverage, climate change action and Sustainable Development Goals.
He will also meet the Asia Society and the US-ASEAN Business Council and discussed the roles and potential of Thailand.
Besides, he will meet Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, president of the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly.
Prime Minister Prayut’s delegation will depart from Suvarnabhumi airport at 11.10pm on Sept 21 and return to the airport at 9.55pm on Sept 27. (TNA)
