BANGKOK, Sept 12 (TNA) – A media delegation of Lao
PDR has visited MCOT’s headquarters in Bangkok to promote cooperation as
Thailand and Lao PDR will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic
relation next year.
The ongoing familiarization visit of the Lao
media delegation to Thailand is organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane.
The executives and editorial staffs of five leading media
agencies of Lao PDR on Wednesday met with MCOT’s directors of news, radio
service and MCOT Academy to exchange ideas and discuss future cooperation.
They discussed news content production and service that
would enhance relations and understanding between the peoples of the two
neighbouring countries.
The visiting delegates paid special attention to the role of
media in handling and verifying fake news as MCOT has operated an anti-fake
news center which deciphers viral contents on social media platforms.(TNA)
