BANGKOK, Oct 26 (TNA) – Thailand will organize an international meeting on road safety at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre on Nov 5-7.
Dr Thawat Sundarajan, vice minister of public health, said the 13th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion would be jointly organized by the Public Health Ministry, the World Health Organization, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation and the National Institute for Emergency Medicine.
The conference would go along with the WHO’s efforts to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals so that people would have happy life and safe environment, he said.
HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will open the conference on Nov 5. The conference is expected to gather about 1,000 international participants
Its agenda include the prevention of drowning among children, accidents related to emergency medicine in urban areas, road safety and the rescue of young Wild Boars football team at the Tham Luang cave in Chiang Rai province. (TNA)
