BANGKOK, Aug 20 (TNA) — Seven quarantined returnees are newly confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019, reported the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).
CCSA said that three new patients arrived from the United Arab Emirates on August 7. The three Thai men aged 28, 38 and 46 who are hotel workers tested positive on the second test on August 18 while being quarantined in Bangkok.
One new cases arrived from Hong Hong on August 15. A 33-year-old Thai male tourist, who travelled and stranded to Hong Kong since February. He finally returned on August 15, was found positive three days later. He was in a Bangkok state quarantine hotel.
Two 51-year-old males, who returned home from Singapore on August 7, were found positive on the 11th day in a Chon Buri state quarantine hotel.
And a 21-year-old female student, who came home from Egypt on August 17, was found positive later the same day.
All the new patients have no symptoms.
Total cases increased to 3,389 and 3,218 of them recovered including 19 patients who were discharged on Wednesday. Meanwhile, 113 patients were at hospitals and 58 have died. (TNA)
