PHETCHABURI, March 17 (TNA) – Phetchaburi province reported 10 Covid-19 cases from the Bang Khae market COVID-19 cluster, said Phetchaburi governor Pakapong Thaweepat.
The confirmed cases were sent to a local quarantine at a farm in Ban Laem district.
The cases were found after the province had conducted Covid-19 testing for visitors to six markets in Bangkok’s Bang Khae district.
Those in close contact with the infected persons were tested and all tested negative for coronavirus.
The governor said that the province can control the outbreak situation from the Bang Khae cluster.
Meanwhile, the province reported its 64th case, who is a Norwegian man. He arrived at Cha-am district from Pattaya in Choburi by a personal car.
He was found being infected with Covid-19 on March 13.
Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) said about the active testing at markets in Bang Khae district that the total of 6,281 people have been tested and the number of infections reached 293. The test results of 493 people have not come out. (TNA)
