TAK, Dec 29 (TNA) – Mae Sot hospital in Tak province has opened a field hospital at its new building for Covid-19 patients.
The hospital is now treating 12 coronavirus patients, including four more newly-confirmed cases.
The new field hospital has a capacity of 200 beds.
Meanwhile, Utttaradit province reported the third coronavirus case in Nam Pat district, who is the husband of the seafood vendor, the province’s second case.
The province issued a lockdown order for their house and seafood stalls were announced to be the disease control area. Ten high-risk people entered self-quarantine.
In Rayong province, a man who worked at a gambling den died after testing positive for Covid-19, said the Deputy Public Health Minister Satit Pituthecha said on his Facebook post on Monday.
The 45- year old man had underlying health conditions related to Ischemic heart disease and diabetes.
He had fatigue and shortness of breath and was rushed to hospital. He died on the way to the hospital yesterday.
Rayong has reported 92 Covid-19 cases in the new round of the coronavirus outbreak so far, many linked to the gambling den. (TNA)
