BANGKOK, Dec 2 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha visited Samut Songkhram province to promote local tourism and enterprises.
In the trip he inspected the operations of local enterprises in Rim Klong Home Stay Community in Ban Prok sub-district of Muang district. There he saw the production of organic vegetables, salt for spa service, coconut nectar syrup and wickerwork made from coconut leaves.
He also observed the implementation of the Khok Nong Na Model that combines the New Theory agriculture and the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy initiated by King Rama IX as well as water management in Phi Lok canal.
Then the prime minister visited Coconut Conservation and Rehabilitation Community in Muang Mai sub-district of Amphawa district. The community received an award for its successful implementation of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.
There the prime minister saw local products including processed banana and coconut products, coconut-avocado juice and a stingless bee farm.
His delegation was scheduled to return to Bangkok in the afternoon to chair a meeting of the Center for Economic Situation Administration at Government House. (TNA)
