BANGKOK, Sept 19 (TNA) – His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has formally endorsed Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s new cabinet, the Royal Gazette shows.
The list of ministers was published in the Royal Gazette, officially confirming key appointments that had been previously announced.
Among the new cabinet members are Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Ekniti Nitithanprapas as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and General Natthapon Nakpanich as Minister of Defense.
The endorsement paves the way for the ministers to take their oath of office before the king and present their policy statement to parliament, marking the final steps before they can officially assume their roles.
Parliament President Wan Muhamad Noor Matha stated that the government’s policy statement to parliament must occur no more than 15 days after the cabinet takes its oath on Sept 24.
A Bhumjaithai Party spokesperson predicted the policy statement would be made on September 29-30 or September 30 to October 1, following a three-party whip meeting on September 25-26 to finalize the date.-819 (TNA)
