BANGKOK, July 24 (TNA) – The Royal Thai Army reported that nine civilians, including a child, have been killed and 14 injured following border clashes with Cambodian forces.
The army condemned Cambodia for allegedly targeting civilian areas. The fighting began early Thursday after Cambodian troops fired on a Thai military outpost in Surin province.
The attacks hit multiple provinces, with the deadliest incident occurring at a gas station in Si Sa Ket, where six people were killed.
The army has vowed to take decisive military action to protect Thailand’s sovereignty and its people. -819 (TNA)
