BANGKOK, June 22 (TNA) – Chiang Rai’s former governor, Narongsak Osottanakorn, famous for his role in leading the rescue of the Wild Boar football team from a flooded cave in 2018 has died of cancer at the age of 58 on Wednesday.
He was pronounced dead at Siriraj Hospital where he had been treated for a while. Before he passed away, he served as the Pathum Thani governor.
His body will be moved to Wat Phra Si Mahathat for the funeral ceremony. The royally-sponsored bathing rite will be held at the temple today. (TNA)
