BANGKOK, Sept 10 (TNA) – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, MCOT Pcl. and a network of allies presented awards to the winners of the low carbon contest: Vlog the Journey, aimed at encouraging the sustainable low carbon society.
The Natural Resources and Environment Minister, Varawut Silpa-archa and MCOT Acting President, Sirote Ratanamahatana presented the awards to the winners, who participated in the vlog contest, producing the content about how to reduce their carbon impact when travelling.
About 460 teams applied for the contest and 173 video clips were submitted. Three teams earned prominent awards and each team received 30,000 baht in cash. Three winning teams are “Latte”, “Speak Up” and “This Footage Is Recyclable”.
Seven other teams won honourary mentions and were given 15,000 baht in cash each.
All winning teams received vouchers for free accommodation in the national parks and winning clips will be publicized to raise people’s awareness on environmental issues. (TNA)
