PRACHUAP KHIRI
KHAN, Dec 24 (TNA) – About a dozen Myanmar nationals were arrested while trying
to cross the border on foot into Thailand’s southern province of Prachuap Khiri
Khan Monday night.
The group was spotted in a jungle near Ao Noi village before
Thai police and local administrative officials stopped them.
The arrestees who carried no travel documents told police
that they were from the state of Rakhine heading for Malaysia. They all had paid agents who promised to
transport them in a car to the Malaysia border.
Police said they were charged with illegal entry into the kingdom.(TNA)
