MAHA SARAKHAM, Oct 28 (TNA) – A Chinese opera festival is
being held in the northeastern province of Maha Sarakham to celebrate China’s
traditional art form.
Chinese descendants and tourism office Maha Sarakham
organized the festival by incorporating other cultural aspects including
culinary, traditional and modern dance.
The organizers said the eight-day festival was primarily
held for members of Chinese community in the province to pay homage to Chinese
gods and goddesses. Other activities had
been added to the festival, they said.
Over 1,000 food stalls ensure visitors’ great culinary
experience. In addition to stage
performance, Singing Contest and Cover Dance Contest entertain visitors from
October 27 to November 3. (TNA)
