TRAT, Oct 3 (TNA) – A stunning natural phenomenon is captivating visitors to Trat Province as a million colorful jellyfish have been spotted in the waters off Ban Klong San beach.
Local residents and officials are inviting tourists to witness this rare and beautiful sight before it disappears.
Somnuek Hongwisate, former local chief explained that the appearance of these colorful jellyfish is an annual occurrence during the end of the rainy season and the beginning of the cool season. However, this year, the jellyfish have gathered in unusually large numbers following a period of clear skies and calm seas.
It takes about 15 minutes by a boat to the area where vast swarms of jellyfish in various shades of white, green, blue, and brown the jellyfish are sighted. Aerial drone footage revealed the full extent of the mesmerizing spectacle.
An assistant village headman noted that the jellyfish’s vibrant colors are a natural occurrence and vary depending on the specific marine environment. While the jellyfish appear every year, their numbers and intensity have been particularly remarkable this season. Visitors are advised to come early in the morning for the best viewing experience, as the jellyfish are most visible in clear waters.
