SAKHON NAKHON, Jan 9 (TNA) – A man has been detained for allegedly involving in the deaths of his father and sister, whose bodies were found in two large metal boxes, retrieved from a pond.
The boxes were seen at a pond during the day but disappeared at night. Authorities were alerted when a passerby noticed a man shouting and acting suspiciously near the pond.
Upon investigation, officials found the man, identified as Mr. Warut and immediately took him into custody. The metal boxes were retrieved from the water, revealing a shocking scene – the lifeless bodies of a man and a woman inside. The victims were identified as Mr. Prayad, 66 years old, and Ms. Piangpen, 33 years old, who were the suspect’s father and sister.

Authorities conducted a search of Warut’s house and the area where the metal boxes were discovered. They also sought information from a local metal box manufacturing shop, which revealed that Warut had ordered the boxes for 12,000 baht each on November 25 last year. Warut claimed they were intended for making fishing boxes, but after completion, he placed them near a community center in Sawang Daen Din District.
The investigation is ongoing, as authorities are exploring possible motives behind Warut’s actions. It is suspected that mental health issues or other underlying factors may have contributed to this shocking incident.
