BANGKOK, Aug 16 (TNA) – Businessmen from the United States and Southeast Asian nations have expressed their confidence in the Thai government, said the government spokesperson.
Narumon Pinyosinwat, the spokesperson, said 108 representatives of the US-ASEAN Business Council expressed their confidence when they called on Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on the occasion of their visit to Thailand.
According to the spokesperson, the delegation congratulated Gen Prayut for his extended premiership and expressed their confidence in the stability of his government. They had no concerns on political situations and expected investments in Thailand.
“The prime minister assured the businessmen that Thailand has clear economic reform plans concerning its digital and energy sectors. If they are planning investment projects, they should also think about Thai people. For example, in agro-industry, Thai people must have chances to learn technology. There must be equality and bioeconomy,” Mrs Narumon said.
The government spokesperson also said that on Aug 16 economic ministers would discuss global economic situations, impacts on the Thai economy and economic stimulus measures. (TNA)
