BANGKOK, July 24 (TNA) – The government holds a
multi-faith ceremony marking His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn’s 67th birthday
anniversary on Sunday, July 28.
Buddhist monks and Christian, Muslim, Hindu and Sikh leaders
attended the ceremony at Government House on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha led Cabinet ministers and
state officials in prayers and religious rituals. His government has invited members of the
public to join Majesty’s 67th birthday celebrations.
The Prime Minister later chaired an activity of volunteers
under the royally initiated Jit Arsa program at Wachira Benjathat Park in
Bangkok’s Chatuchak district.
On Sunday, the government will organize a mass prayer at the
Royal Plaza in front of Dusit Palace, Bangkok, to mark His Majesty the King’s
birthday and make merit for the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The religious ceremony will be presided over by His Holiness
Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatanana, the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand. (TNA)
