PRACHIN BURI, July 6 (TNA) – Chao Phraya Abhaiphubejhr Hospital in Prachin Buri province has produced and distributed medical cannabis under the Abhaiphubejhr model to treating its patients.
The hospital is extracting marijuana oil from dried marijuana, which was confiscated by the Office of the Narcotics Control Board from traffickers while it has also grown cannabis plants. It has opened a medical cannabis clinic and is using marijuana oil to treat 12 patients, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy and other symptoms.
Out of seven Parkinson’s disease patients, four had their symptoms improved while those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease became less moody and slept well. Doctors at the hospital said treating patients with marijuana oil is just additional treatment for those patients who did not respond to the current medical treatment. (TNA)
