RAYONG, April 5 (TNA) – The fruit season starts with
42 orchards in Rayong, offering fruit buffets for visitors to taste fresh durians,
mangosteens and rambutans.
Surasak Charoensirichote, Rayong governor said fruit
harvests especially durians will be gradually released to the market, starting
from April.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand, Rayong office and
the Agro-tourism Club in Rayong and other agencies have organized tourism
promotional activities to promote high quality fruit directly to consumers by letting
them pick up the fruit and taste the freshness in the orchards.
Tourists, who do not want to pay a fixed price for
fruit buffet, they can pay for only what they eat. Tour packages are available
as Rayong encompasses varieties of attractions and beaches.

Permpoonsuksombat said this year, more fruit supply will be harvested due to favorable
weather.
There will be 108,000 tonnes of durians, released to
the market during the four-month fruit season which will end in July.
Almost half
