BANGKOK, March 12 (TNA) – A Bangkok taxi driver returned cash, worth more than 40,000 baht, left in his vehicle to the Chinese passenger, who later rewarded him 2,000 baht.
Samran Vejchaya found about 40,000 baht in cash, yuan banknotes in the handbag and a passport of the Chinese man, Mr. Shi Wen in the rear passenger section.
He handed over the cash to a radio station to locate the owner.
The Chinese passenger received the money back and gave a 2,000-baht cash reward to the taxi driver 2,000 baht in gratitude to his good deeds.
He said he called a cab from Nuan Chan to go to Huay Kwang but he could not communicate with the driver. The driver dropped him off at the Watcharaphon area and he left the taxi with his rucksack but forgot his handbag. He filed a complaint with the Bang Khen police station. (TNA)
