BANGKOK, March 9 (TNA) – The Election Commission (EC) has urged eligible voters to download its Smart Vote application to help them access to all necessary voting information.
EC’s deputy secretary-general Nut Laosisavakul said there are approximately 50 million eligible voters and on average, each person in this country has one cellphone.
Surprisingly, only 95,000 voters have so far downloaded its Smart Vote application, he said.
The EC targets at least some 10 million eligible voters would use the ‘Smart Vote’ application.
The application provides voters details of their constituencies, names candidates as well as their number in the voting lists, so it will help voters save their time when they go to the election booths. (TNA)
