BANGKOK, Jan 31 (TNA) – Spraying water by drones is good intention but it isn’t the right solution, says a lecturer at Mahidol University.
Asst. Prof. Thamarat Phutthai of Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies said the method does not help reduce the tiny dust particles, which float higher in the air.
Spraying water by drones in a bid to reduce the level of particulate matter is solving the problem at each particular area and it is not the right solution.
He suggested reduction of vehicle exhaust, industrial emissions and outdoor burning as a right direction to deal with the ongoing haze.
However, he admitted that it could take some time to tackle air pollution. (TNA)
