KANCHANABURI, Nov 27 (TNA) – A provincial court in Kanchanaburi began examining evidence in the black panther poaching case against Italian-Thai Development president, Premchai Karnasuta on Tuesday.
The construction tycoon and his three associates appeared at the Thong Pha Phum Provincial Court for the first witness testimony.
They were arrested in February by a team of park rangers, led by Wichien Chinnawong, the chief of Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary in Kanchanaburi.
The group faces charges including hunting protected wildlife and possessing protected wildlife carcasses.
The park chief Wichien also attended the court. Some 30 people came to give him support outside the court. (TNA)
