BANGKOK, Feb 24 (TNA) – Two lab test results confirm that a Chinese man, receiving
medical treatment at Mae Sot Hospital in Tak province has tested negative to the novel coronavirus
(Covid-19).
Public Health Ministry spokesman Dr Rungruang
Kitpati said the man is in critical condition from underlying diseases and remains
in hospital.
All border and immigration checkpoints maintain
strict control to screening travelers, entering the kingdom on flights, ships
and by land, he said.
The number of Covid 19 patients in Thailand stands
at 35 and suspected cases is reported at 1,435 people in total.
Close monitoring has been applied to medical staff
with pneumonia and Thai citizens returning from virus-hit countries such as
Japan, Singapore and South Korea, he noted.
Stringent surveillance measures help curb the number
