BANGKOK, Feb 19 (TNA) — The cabinet approved a draft communique of the Special ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Vientiane.
Deputy government spokeswoman Ratchada Thanadirek said the approved communique would be announced during the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on Feb 20.
The communique described the promotion of cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) on efforts to control COVID-19, she said.
The efforts will cover policy discussions, training, workshops, solutions to cushion impacts on economic and social development, and the exchange of technology, information and experiences.
Besides, China and ASEAN will apply e-commerce to help COVID-19-affected operators, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, Ms Ratchada said. (TNA)
