BANGKOK, Feb 7 (TNA) — The number of novel coronavirus patients in Thailand remained at 25, nine of whom were discharged.
Dr Suwannachai Wattanayingcharoenchai, director-general of the Disease Control Department, updated a press conference on the figures.
He also said that 16 patients were receiving treatment at hospitals. Besides, of 615 patients under investigation, 225 were discharged and 390 remained at hospitals.
Regarding 138 Thai returnees from Wuhan, he said one of them just had a fever. The person and a close friend were isolated.
Four other returnees who were previously ill remained at Queen Sirikit Hospital. If another laboratory test confirms they are free of the disease, they will join other quarantined returnees at the Sattahip naval base and can do recreational activities, Dr Suwannachai said.
He admitted that crewmembers of a Phuket-Suvarnabhumi flight had been quarantined for 14 days after a coronavirus patient was detected on the flight. The crew passed a 14-day quarantine and returned to work.
A Thai coach driver who contracted the disease and also suffered tuberculosis had stable conditions, Dr Suwannachai said. (TNA)
