BANGKOK, Sept 26 (TNA) – Water-from-air generators, developed by an Israeli company have been unveiled at a seminar on water management and innovation in Bangkok.
Watergen, Israel company developed technology to turn air into drinking water. The patented innovative machine can produce up to 900 litres of clean water per day. The machine can be used in schools, hospitals in remote areas as well as in deserts or disaster areas.
The Israeli embassy in Bangkok, Thailand’s Official of national Water Resources, the Royal Irrigation Department, Metropolitan and Provincial Waterworks Authorities and the Federation of Thai Industries jointly organized the seminar, entitled Water Management and Innovation: Smart Solutions to Global Challenges.
Ambassador of Israel to Thailand, Dr. Meir Shlomo delivered the opening statement, citing Israel adopted innovation and water management technology to counter water shortage. Israel intends to work together with Thailand on the systematical water management.
Michael Rutman, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Watergen Co.,Ltd said that the water-from-air generator can produce drinking water without depending on water resource or tap water system. It uses the same principle as how rain is formed. The machine consumes 300 watt of power to produce one litre of water from vapour in the air and can reduce the use of plastic water bottles.
Danny Lacker, Head of Water Security and Emergency, Israeli Water Authority said deserts cover most of Israel’s total land areas. The country has developed technology for water management and aims to be one of the world’s leaders in water management innovation and technology. (TNA)
