BANGKOK, Aug 28 (TNA) – The Stock Exchange of Thailand
(SET) holds its annual flagship “Thailand Focus 2019”, a platform for leading
global and regional institutional investors to explore investment opportunities
in Thailand.
Thailand Focus 2019 from August 28 – 30, 2019 has attracted
more than 300 foreign fund managers from many countries and regions, such as
the US, Europe, Singapore, China, South Korea, Taiwan and India.
With the theme “Embracing Opportunities – The Next Chapter,”
Thailand Focus 2019 emphasized insights into the national strategies and
investment opportunities as well as direct contact opportunities with over 100
listed companies, said SET President Pakorn Peetathawatchai.
Panel discussions provided an opportunity for investors to
learn about investment opportunities from Thai policymakers and prominent
speakers, he said.
Minister of Finance Uttama Savanayana gave a special address
to portray the country’s economic direction and stimulus measures as well as the
monetary and fiscal policies.
Mr. Pakorn said a highlight this year was presentations on
the attractiveness and business potentials of Thai capital market given the
connectivity with CLMV and ASEAN. (TNA)
