BANGKOK, Oct 10 (TNA) — Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha will attend the ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering (ALG) in Bali on Oct 11 to discuss regional financial stability and economic development with representatives from the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
Deputy government spokesman Werachon Sukondhapatipak said ALG was an informal meeting to be organised concurrently with the 2018 Annual Meetings of the IMF and World Bank Group in Bali.
In the ALG, leaders of Southeast Asian nations would discuss ways to gather cooperation from the UN, IMF and the World Bank to support the economic growth of ASEAN. They would also address Sustainable Development Goals and reduction in development gaps.
On the occasion Prime Minister Prayut would speak on ways to promote regional economic and financial stability, Thailand’s roles in supporting regional and international connectivity, and sustainable development, Lt Gen Werachon said (TNA)
