Ailing Thai Elephant Blessed Before Returning Home from Sri Lanka

Ailing Sak Surin, the male elephant gifted to Sri Lanka in 2001 will be brought back to Thailand for medical treatment on July 2, said Natural Resources and Environment Minister Varawut Silpa-archa.
The Thai government is asking the Sri Lankan government for permission to bring the elephant, Sak Surin, that it donated to Sri Lanka back to Thailand for treatment because it is ill and has a poor living condition.
