The first batch of 16 Thai nationals, who wanted to return home from Tachileik arrived in Chiang Rai, underwent Covid-19 screen and entered quarantine at a hotel in the provincial seat.
More than 170 persons, who came in close contact with ten Covid-19 infected women and put at high risk tested negative for coronavirus, said the Public Health Ministry.
The Ministry of Public Health reported another woman in Chiang Rai province had COVID-19 after her work at an entertainment venue in Tachileik town of Myanmar together with three other women who earlier tested positive for the disease.
