There were 468 traffic accidents which killed 46 people and injured 482 others on April 11, the first day of Songkran festival travel.
The Interior Minister opened the road safety center, aiming to reduce the number of road accidents during the New Year holiday from Dec 27 to Jan 2.
The Land Transport Department has launched a programme, aimed at educating school students aged above 15 to learn more about car traffic law.
