ฺBANGKOK, Aug 4 (TNA) – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has ordered Thonburi Healthcare Group (THG) and its chairman Boon Vanasin to explain within seven days its agreement with the Defence Ministry to import the COVID-19 vaccine by Pfizer.
The SEC Office demanded clarification from THG and Dr Boon after he had said that his group would sign the agreement with the Defence Ministry this week and it had lost about 500-600 million baht worth of a deposit on a contractual violation. The Defence Ministry later denied the vaccine import report.
SEC said that contradicting information might cause misunderstand and have impacts on shareholders’ benefits, investors’ decisions and share prices. SEC ordered Dr Boon to give his explanation within seven days (from Aug 4). (TNA)
