BANGKOK, May 6 (TNA) – Health workers were conducting active case finding in Huay Khwang district after two Myanmar employees at a pork stall at Huay Khwang market were confirmed with COVID-19.
The Department of Health and the Huay Khwang district office under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and Kasemrad Hospital started collecting nasal swabs from about 300 vendors from Huay Khwang market at the Huay Khwang stadium in Din Daeng district.
The mass testing was set for two days as Huay Khwang market was closed for seven days on May 3-9 following COVID-19 infections with the two Myanmar workers.
The mass testing today covered at-risk Thais. The next round of active case finding there was set on May 8 to cover other at-risk Thais and migrants. The mass testing targeted altogether about 600 at-risk people. (TNA)
