BANGKOK, April 26 (TNA) – The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand insisted that there was not a chartered flight from India to Thailand but a scheduled flight remained on a weekly basis to bring Thai returnees from COVID-plagued India.
Allaying people’s concerns, CAAT denied the report that well-to-do Indians chartered a flight to Thailand. There was only one weekly flight of an Indian airline to serve the people who had to travel between both countries and to bring Thai returnees from India. CAAT said 131 Thai people registered for such repatriation flights in May.
The Foreign Ministry already suspended Indians’ requests to visit Thailand and all visitors to the country must undergo screening procedures including reports on their health certification and compulsory state quarantine. (TNA)
