BANGKOK, March 5 (TNA) – A fair on the use of hemp and cannabis is being organized in the northeastern province of Buri Ram to tell the general public how to generate income from the plants.
Deputy government spokesperson Traisuree Taisaranakul said Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul was set to open the Cannabis-Hemp 360° Festival at Chang International Circuit in Buri Ram on March 5.
Set to continue until March 7, the biggest fair of its kind in the country was designed to educate general people on the considerable medical and commercial use of cannabis and hemp. It was also intended to promote tourism, distribute income in Buri Ram and nearby provinces and develop networks of related business.
Miss Traisuree said Cannabis-Hemp 360° Festival would include discussions on the medical use of cannabis extract and narcotic laws. There would also be free services at a cannabis clinic, an exhibition on local hemp innovation, cannabis workshops and cannabis and hemp products from community enterprises natinwide. (TNA)
