BANGKOK, Nov 23 (TNA) – His Majesty the King donated land to Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University and Suan Dusit University.
Their Majesties the King and Queen had Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Minister Anek Laothamatas attend the ceremony of the land donation at the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall where the rectors of both universities obtained the title deeds.
Mr Anek said the two universities stood in parts of the original compound of the Dusit Palace and the donation of over 100 rai of land showed the great generosity of His Majesty the King.
The minister said the locations of many universities including Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University and Silpakorn University had been parts of royal palaces.
Mr Anek added that His Majesty the King would have a new public hospital built in the compound of the former Dusit Zoo and have the former Royal Turf Club turned into a big public park at the heart of Bangkok for citizens’ recreations and exercise. (TNA)
