BANGKOK, Oct 14 (TNA) – An anti-government protest leader has confirmed the plan to move to Government House later afternoon but they have not decided which route they will use to avoid any clash with the yellow clad royalist rivals, who have gathered for the royal motorcade of His Majesty the King.
Panupong Jardnok alias Mike Rayong, one of the protest leader declined to disclose the route the demonstrators would march to Government House at 4 pm, saying they needed to assess the situation to prevent any scuffle with the rival groups.
The pro-democracy Khana Ratsadorn group is adamant to stage a peaceful protest, he said.
Meanwhile, he condemned the police’s operation to disperse a small protest at the Democracy Monument yesterday. Twenty one demonstrators were arrested and were deprived of their rights they should receive as suspects, he said.
He called for compromise and no violence against protesters. (TNA)
